Romaine lettuce rolls with Gruyere
Beautiful green rolls with a spicy-sweet filling of cheese, dates, mustard and green onion.
Ingredients
1 head romaine lettuce,
4 whole dates,
1 whole green onion,
100 grams Gruyere cheese,
1 tablespoon apricot marmalade,
1 teaspoon mustard,
Instructions
Cut 12 nice leaves from the core of the lettuce and cut the stem out. Wash the leaves and dry them.
Unseed the dates and cut them in small pieces. Chop the green onion in small rings and the cheese in very small cubes.
Mix the marmalade and the mustard in bowl and add the cheese, dates and onion rings.
Spread the leaves flat and divide the cheese mixture over the 12 leaves. Roll the leaves and place the lettuce rolls on a dish.
