Ingredients

10 sheets filo dough, |
|
|
1 whole mango, small |
|
|
1 whole orange, |
|
|
250 grams ricotta cheese, |
|
|
50 grams almond slivers, |
|
|
8 tablespoons honey, |
|
|
50 grams unsalted butter, |
|
|
powdered sugar, |
|
|

Instructions

|
Thaw the dough. Preheat oven to 220 degrees C (= 430 degrees F).
|
|
|
Peel the mango and cut it into cubes. Clean the orange and grate the rind. Squeeze the orange. Mix the ricotta with mango, zest, 25 grams of almond slivers and 3 tablespoons of honey.

|
Melt the butter. Cover a baking sheet with baking paper and spread a sheet of filo dough on the baking paper. Spread butter on the filo dough. Put a second sheet of filo dough on top, spread with butter and do the same with 3 more sheets. Create a roll of half the ricotta mixture on the middle of the filo dough. Fold the dough over the ricotta, glue the seams with water. Place the roll on the seam on the backing sheet and make a few cuts diagonally in the top of the roll. Make another roll in the same way.

Spread butter on both strudels and sprinkle with the remaining almond slivers. Place the strudels in the middle of the heated oven for approximately 30 minutes until the strudels and golden brown and done.

Dust the strudels with powdered sugar and serve them with the warm orange juice mixed with the remaining honey.
