Caprese
A traditional Italian appetizer with 'designers' looks
Ingredients
2 balls mozzarella cheese
4 whole tomatoes
16 leaves basil
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
Slice the mozzarella cheese in 1/5-inch (0.5 cm) thick slices. Rinse the tomatoes and slice them in 1/5-inch (0.5 cm) slices.
Alternate the slices tomato and mozzarella in four small piles and place these on individual plates.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper and oil and garnish with basil leaves.
