Buffalo mozzarella with pistou
This dish can be prepared at the last moment.
Ingredients
1 clove garlic
1 teaspoon sea salt
15 grams basil
5 tablespoons olive oil
black pepper
2 balls mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Peel the garlic and cut it in small pieces. Make pistou with a blender: mince garlic with sea salt. Add basil and mix until a smooth paste. Add olive oil until thick liquid sauce; this is the pistou. At salt and pepper to taste. Use immediately or cover with plastic wrap at room temperature.
Warm Mozzarella cheese balls to room temperature in 15 minutes. Slice the balls in half and divide over 4 plates. Sprinkle the pistou over the cheese and season with black pepper.
