This is a fine Cheddar cheese in a red wax 'rind', sufficiently aged to provide a mild and predictable sharpness without being overbearing - the right ingredient for cheddar in almost any meal.
Of course, Cheddar is one of the most famous of all cheeses and it takes its name from the village of Cheddar in Somerset where the cheese was first made.
The color and the taste are great, mild but distinct; certainly an appropriate cheese for your lunches, salads or just as a snack.
