Coulommiers is available in various recipes and sizes and takes its name from the town of Coulommiers where it was first made. Coulommiers can be compared with a Brie de Meaux and a Camembert, but does not have an A.O.C. status. We have a 400 and 500 grams Coulommiers in our assortment.
The gourmet Coulommiers has a white, bloomy, often uneven rind with a little brown mottling as it ages. It has a mushroomy aroma a delicate texture, and is in general milder than the Brie de Meaux.
Serve the Coulommiers with fresh French baguette and a Pinot Noir and you will have a great combination to serve you friends.
